We aim at assisting hearing impaired persons/ disabled persons aged 15 or above in job-seeking and providing related training to enhance their skills such as vocational skills, job interview skills, and interpersonal skills. The service includes arranging employment for applicants to facilitate their opportunities in open employment; and building an employer’s network to provide support for the employers who hired the hearing impaired/ disabled employees.

Service Users

  • We serve hearing impaired persons/ disabled persons aged 15 or above, and with the potential and motivation for open employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently participating in another employment programme from other organizations.
  • For “Sunnyway – On the Job Training Programme for Young People with Disabilities”, applicants must be an unemployed hearing impaired/ disabled individual aged 15-29

Services Including

  • Casework Service
    • Supported Employment Services
    • To provide support tailored to the needs and potentials of hearing impaired/ disabled individuals, including employment support, job attachment with allowance, job trial with wage subsidy to employers, as well as post-placement service for no less than 12 months.

    • On the Job Training Programme for People with Disabilities
    • To provide job training and counselling services, job attachment with allowance, job trial with wage subsidy to employers, as well as post-placement service for no less than 12 months.

    • Sunnyway – On the Job Training Programme for Young People with Disabilities:
    • To provide hearing impaired/ disabled youths aged 15 to 29 with job training and counselling services, job attachment with allowance, job trial with wage subsidy to employers, and post-placement service for no less than 12 months

  • Employment Events
    • Regular employment exhibitions and events of various scales will be organized.

  • Meet-ups and Training Courses
    • Regular meetings will be held to encourage hearing impaired/ disabled persons to share their experience and challenge which they encountered during job search and in workplace. Furthermore, vocational training courses, seminars, and sharing sessions will also be organized.

Service Registration

  • For large-scale employment events, meet-ups and training courses:
    Please refer to our Newsletter or Website for registration guideline.
  • Casework Service
  • Applicants could complete the application form in person at our Employment and Training Centre or one of the three Multi-services Centres (Tseung Kwan O, North Point, Leung King), or by referral from other social services organizations. Our staff will make an appointment with the applicant. Eligible applicants will be followed up individually.

Withdrawal from Service

  • In general, after service users complete the relevant training, or/and counselling service, or/and achieved open employment, our staff will propose termination of service with the individuals concerned;
  • Service users may opt out from the service any time by notification to our staff, if necessary, we could provide referral for the service users;
  • When the service users are no longer eligible;
  • When the service users pose danger to other service users or staff;
  • When the service provided no longer meet the needs of the service users.
