Sign Language Alumni Association



The Association was established in 1986 by a group of passionate alumni of sign language courses. The Association aims to gather students who are dedicated to sign language. Through training, interpretation and assisting in sign language training courses, our members can apply their knowledge and serve the hearing impaired community. Besides, our members strive to promote sign language activities and conduct research about sign language in order to enhance the understanding of hearing impaired persons and sign language in the society.


Formed by alumni of sign language courses.


Recruitment will be conducted irregularly in advanced sign language classes. All applicants must have achieved a certain level of sign language proficiency and will have to pass the interview by tutor and committee members of the Association


Third Wednesday night of each month. Apart from regular meetings, we also organize recreational and social activities to facilitate communication and understanding among our members.

Past Activities

Internally, the Association offers sign language interpretation in various events such as the Hong Kong Sign Language Day, Sign Talents Quest, centre activities, interest classes and talks.

Externally, the Association participated in various events such as performing sign language songs at RTHK「手語隨想曲」opening ceremony, offering sign language interpretation at Ocean Park on the International Day of Rehabilitation, teaching sign language songs at Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, offering our advice on sign language for a music video of singer Ms. Kayee Tam, offering sign language interpretation for certain performances at the Hong Kong Disneyland etc.
