The Volunteers’ Group

Objective

The group was established in May 1987, aiming to organize volunteering training and to assist the services of the Centre. Members provide support in organizing various activities in order to promote an inclusive community.

Membership

Formed by hearing individuals.

Meeting

Monthly meetings and social activities are held regularly. Group leaders are set up to consolidate the team spirit of the group.

Past Activities

The group organizes sign language enhancement courses and other workshops to facilitate the sign language skills of the members as well as mutual communication. The group also participates in volunteering activities and award schemes in the community.

Our members cooperate with Crystal Craft Group to promote sales in Bazaar. We also organize home visits to care for hearing impaired families along with hearing impaired volunteers. Besides, we organize social activities regularly to facilitate communication among members.
