The Employment Service Centre aims
to provide job training for hearing impaired persons aged from 18 to 45
in order to assist them to secure jobs in open employment. Our services
include:
Hearing
impaired persons (aged 18 to 45), unemployed or willing to change his/her
job.
Types of Training
1. Training in
Fast Food Shop/Cafeteria
Training in catering and fast-food
industry is provided in our Deaf Cafeteria(café established by
Hong Kong Society for the Deaf, mainly operated by hearing impaired employees),
where trainees learn to work in actual setting with hearing and able-bodied
persons. This approach aims to enhance their social and communication
skills, working ability.

Termination
If the trainee cannot or does
not attend in the course according to particular requirement, the organizer
should hold the right to terminate the qualification of trainees
The trainee has the right to terminate
his or her training at any time

On the Job Training for the
Disabled
To
help disabled person to become independent, a 3-year project, named "On
the Job raining for the Disabled" is implemented. The programs
include:
Counseling, on the job training
with $1,250 monthly allowance(1 to 3 months)
Job trial (1 to 3 months)
Follow up service (6 months)
